Product Review- Partake Foods Mini Cookies

Happy Saturday everyone! So today I'm coming back at you with another product review (two in one week- that's definitely unprecedented for me)! I'd like to introduce you all to an awesome new company called Partake Foods. The company was started this year, and makes products for kids that are free of the Top 8 allergens! I had the opportunity to try out their trio of mini cookies. They come in Sweet Potato Millet, Blueberry Buckwheat, and Carrot Oat flavors, and each one contains real fruits and vegetables! So you can pretty much eat an entire pack (which, trust me, is very possible) and not feel bad about it, right? Anyways, here's the lowdown on these delicious little cookies.

Carrot Oat- These tasted exactly like carrot cake to me, sans the heavy icing. Granted, it's been a while since I've had carrot cake, so I don't completely remember what it tastes like. So, let's say it was reminiscent of what I think carrot cake should be, which is apparently a great thing- because these were delicious, and definitely my favorite out of the three! I couldn't actually taste too much carrot, but rather oat and what may have been raisin. Overall, these had a really nice, oaty taste, with just the right amount of sweetness. And the texture was great-  super soft and chewy! (5/5 for flavor)
Blueberry Buckwheat- One of the best things about these cookies are the big ol' pieces of blueberry in each one. I definitely love when you can tell real ingredients are going into the food you eat, so props to Partake! These cookies reminded me of blueberry muffins, with an added detail of flavor and texture from the buckwheat. They were unique in terms of what you'd expect from a blueberry baked good, but still subtle enough for kids to enjoy. (4/5 for flavor)

Sweet Potato Millet- This one also had a great texture from the millet, and a fun orange color as well. I'd say this was a close second after the Carrot Oat, and stuck out to me as a cookie you'd easily be able to find at the store. Again, just the right amount of sweetness, and the combo of millet and sweet potato works great together! (4.5/5 for flavor)

Overall, these are some really fantastic cookies. I'd bet that they'd be equally as popular among the kids and adults in your house. I mean, I loved them, and I'm 20, which pretty much puts me in both age categories. If you'd like to learn more about Partake Foods before they hit the shelves, you can checkout their Kickstarter here! That's all for me, guys. Until next time,

Peace, love and gluten free donuts,

Natalia
